Title: MCA-Not Identified in MRI/MRA Post by Shelbi on Oct 19th, 2012 at 8:41pm
Shelbi hasn't had an MRI in over 2 1/2 years due to having braces longer then expected. She got them off last Thursday and had her MRI/MRA this Tuesday. We had this done closer to where we live and I was supposed to take the disc with us when she went for her NL appt. on Nov 8th. The Dr. office called today and want me to send the disc so they can compare it to her last scans. I sent it off today, but what worries me is that they said the radioligists report stated that she had Rt. ICI (? thats what I wrote down but I am wondering if they actually said ICA) anyway they said that this is patent and quite small- I understand the quite small and it scares me to death- but I have no clue what the patent means. Also they said that the MCA was not identified :-[ does this mean it is so small it isn't there at all or is it possible they just didn't see it. The test was with and without contrast. Also they said her Chiari malformation was 1.6 mm. I will have to log over to asap.org when I get done here to check and see if that is bad. I am thinking that isn't very large.
I was hoping just for a call saying all looks good and maybe that is what the Dr. will say when he compares the old and new scans. Please pray for Shelbi. Thanks Tina Peters Shelbi 15-MM, Chiari Malformation, Syrinx, Basilar Invagination |
