Hi my sister got diagnosed with Moyamoya 2 weeks ago and Doctor drained her head to clear the clot blood. She underwent 4 to 5 operations to change the drain. She gave birth to a baby boy few days ago. Now my sister is having 101.3 degree fever. Why is she having fever? We are really worried. However her Doctore is going to remove the drain tomorrow morning. Can anyone please tell me, why is she having this fever? If its dangerous for her condition? I would be really thankful.
Ever since I lost my mother, my sister has been my world and I am so scared to loose her.

Only her Dr. can determine the reason/treatment for the fever, but I can tell you that the day after my son had his 2nd surgery for revascularizing his brain to provide relief for MM, he had fever for 3 days up to 105F at times. Always at night.  They determined he did not have any infection at the surgical site but that there was a virus running thru the unit; 4 other patients also had the same thing going on.
I hope she recovered.  I know this is scary for you all.
