For anyone in Southern California, I would strongly recommend Dr. Jeffrey Saver, stroke specialist and Dr. Neil Martin, neurosurgeon at UCLA.  Dr. Chelsea Kidwell, stroke specialist at UCLA originally treated my husband but has since gone on sabbatical, however, Dr. Saver is equally as skilled.  Dr. Martin performed my husband's surgery (STA to MCA and burr holes) in March, 2003.  All are experienced with moya moya and we can't say enough good things about them.
