Title: Dr. Neil Martin - UCLA Los Angeles, CA
Post by jenanshanesmom on Mar 10th, 2004 at 5:10pm
My name is Paula and I was referred to Dr. Martin at UCLA.  I live in Palm Springs, CA so it isn't too bad of a drive.  I am 39 years old and just had a baby 3 months ago and a stroke 2.5 months ago.  THey diagnosed with mm three days ago.

My consultation with Dr. Martin is April 2nd at 1:30 pm.  Does anyone know how Dr. Martin is?  If they decide surgery is necessary (yes) when will it be?

I would just like answers -  just like everyone.  I was recovering from the stroke, but this is a setback.  A big one.

Hi Paula,

Just saw your posting re:  Dr. Martin at UCLA.  It looks like you've already seen him on the second, so please let me know how you made out.  First, let me say you are in great hands.  Dr. Martin operated on my husband in March, 2003 (an sta to mca bypass and add'l burr holes).  We can't say enough good things about him.  Are you seeing Dr. Saver, the neurologist at UCLA as well?

Good luck and please let me know how you're doing.  My email is jane7887@aol.com.

My wife is seeing Dr. Neil Martin for Moya Moya surgery and he is an excellant surgeon.  He has done around 100 surgeries with Moya Moya patients and has not lost one yet.  So keep your head up, you are in very good hands.
