Dr. B. Gregory Thompson, Jr.
Neurosurgery University of Michigan Hospital 3552 Taubman Health Care Center 1500 E. Medical Center Ann Arbor, MI 48105 734-936-7493 Just had STA-MCA Bypass and EDAS on 1/9/06 on my right side (second surgery--first was left side). He has a wonderful bedside manner, very personable and appears to know his stuff, although he probably only treats a dozen MM patients a year. I would totally recommend him!! |

My husband had a minor stroke on Monday, March 30th. He was diagnosed with Moyamoya on Saturday, April 4th. We live in the Chicagoland area and the closest doctor that I can find is Dr. Thompson in Ann Arbor, MI. However, we don't have any medical insurance and I can't find any information about medical insurance. I am wondering if anyone knows if Dr. Thompson will do this surgery without insurance. I also see that everyone has good things to say about him, so any help you could give to me would be great. Thank you.

I totaly Love Dr Thompson and his staff Amy has been such a big help to me and my family the last year and a half. I ended up having to have an EDSA on the left side also on April 6th of 2009. If you need financial help U of M does have programs you can apply for if you ask any of his staff they will point you in the right direction and get you to the right people. :)
