You wrote to me recently, I am from minneapolis. The problem is i cant sign on to my account because there is a problem with it. So I made an account under my mom. This is spottyoda.. For some reason i did receive your e-mail at oda69@netscape.net. I was diagnosed about 3 years ago after having my first stroke about 4 years ago. I just recently logged onto this site because I have refused to look online about moya moya all this time because Ive been too scared. I figured the less I know the less freaked out I am. I guess coming to this website is the first step ive made for any kind of contact about the disease. I am a 35 year old white female, they say I am not a typical case, but such a rare disease I dont think there are typical cases.

Hi Amy,  I didn't want to hear I had mm either. When I was diagnosed I could not belive it. I was 51 when I was told. Like you said it hits anyone at any age. I had my surgery at the University of Iowa. They know about MM. I could not have better care. Sorry about the spelling. Don't wait to do something about this. I have been stroke free for four years.
