Hi everyone,

I wanted to share with everyone that my family and I are participating in this years Relay for Life event.  We are walking in memory of my father (died 26 yrs ago) my grandmother (died 11 yrs ago) and my aunt (died this year) all from different forms of cancer.  We will be walking from 7pm to 7am (if I can stay awake that long) on April 25th.  

My mother, my kids and I made 35 dozen enchilada dinners and sold them to make enough money to fly my sister down here to participate with us.

I asked DJ if it was ok if I posted my webpage (from relay for life) in case anyone here would like to sponsor me.

I, among others would greatly appreciate it.

I am a kidney cancer survivor and my father died in 1979 at the age of 52 as a result of melanoma cancer.  I too walk the Relay for Life here in my hometown.  It is quite the event and yes, it is a tough walk all night long but what a great and worthy cause and it is all worth it in the end.

I will sponsor you and cheer you on and let me know how it goes.

Hi Hillary,

I too will be walking in the relay for life on our island.  I was supposed to do it last year, but ended up with the flu on the weekend on the event.  I promised my girlfriend that I am definitely doing it this year.  I do it in memory of my dad (died 30 years ago this November of lung cancer), my grandfather (died 19 years ago this June of stomach cancer), my uncle (died 8 years ago this March of lung & bone cancer), my great uncle (died 4 years ago this month from cancer of the lanrynx).  As you can see, my list can go on and on.  I do it because the ACS was very helpful in providing transportation and support for my father and mother while he was getting treaments on another island.  I think our relay for life is going to be this month.   You go girl!!
