Title: Dr. Lawton - UCSF, California Post by cdducky on Jan 23rd, 2009 at 2:08am
My husband had surgery on Jan 13. We tried to go to Stanford but insurance sent us to San Francisco. I check ed and asked questions. He is the only one there and has done many. Everyone at the hospital was great. I was surprised they let him go on Thursday, since we were over 3 hours away. He was doing well and then had a seizure, which we were told was a possibility. He is now on anti-seizure meds, unsure for how long. Thankfully no strokes or TIAs. Dr Lawton ordered many tests and he answered our questions.

My son also had surgery at UCSF by Dr. Lawtow. His procedure involved bilateral STA/MCA (each a week apart) and both times were successful. Once in awhile he has a TIA which will last anywhere from 15 to 40 minutes. Dr. Lawton answered all our questions.
