I am 51 and just learned in April of this year 2010 that I have MMD with 2 strokes and a lack of blood flow. Not only that but 3 aneurysms. I've had one aneurysm fix and they don't want to fix the others because of where they are. I do know of MMD my daughter got MMD at age 9 in 1990.

Welcome to the family. Please feel free to ask any questions. I hope all your diagnosis goes well and you are receiving the correct type of treatment for your MM. Please be advised you will need a MM specialist. I suggest Dr. Steinberg's team since you have other neurological issues.

Wanda, I was diagnosed with mm in 2002. I also had two aneurysms. They were able to coil both of them before I had bypass a year later at the University of Iowa City Hospitals. Take care, Sharon

I was just diagnosed this month 2010 and will be 49 in a couple of weeks. It is scary but I am trying to learn everything I can, this is a great site!
