It's been a year and she's still having some GI problems. She was diagnosed with Celiac and Crohns. She still has cronic constipation which causes diarhea. she's missing a lot of school and feels pretty crappy most days. She never seems to empty her bowles and it backs up and caused diarhea and pain. Her last attempt to "clean out" was a bottle of magnesium citrate. Didn't work and caused a LOT of pain. She cried for days. We finally took her ot the ER. An Xray showed ehr entire right side of intestines was full of stool. Their first response was give her another bottle of Mag.C. I refused to do that again to her since it didn't work. They admitted her and gave her Golytely through a nose tube. It worked and cleaned her out. Her GI Dr. is sending her to Boston Children's Hospital. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for an appointment. Her quality of life is greatly diminished by all of this. She's referred to Dr. Nurko. I guess they have a great GI department(not surprised) One thing they want to test ehr for is Hirschprungs not sure what else yet.

Poor Kathleen!  I pray you find the help she needs at Boston Childrens.
