I have a great neurologist but i feel I should see a specialist for Moyamoya. I live in New Jersey, can anymore suggest a good specialist on the East Coast?

Hi,
I've just been researching MM specialist on the East coast and I have been talking with an excellent chap Dr. Ed Smith who works with Dr. Scott at Boston Children's Hospital. If you contact him, I know he would be tell you if they treat adults or at least tell you where to go. Google Moyamoya clinic Boston children's hospital and you can email him directly. Also there is a MM clinic in New York, I saw on facebook. If you go to the area in this forum that "specialist with Moyamoya experience" it lists alot of the specialist for you. I hope that was helpful.

Hello sweetheart my heart goes out to you and your family!! My son was just diagnosed with the MM in February of this year..he's only seven yes. Old...my son was seen at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Maryland.... They worked so fast and made sure that they kept good track of everythin g that was going on with him!! His surgeon was excellent his surgeon name is Edward Ann. His number is 410 502 7700 ....I wish you the best of luck with who ever I choose to be seen by!!!! Will keep you in my prayers!!!
