I've had my direct bypass surgery with him couple of weeks ago. This doctor is the best I've ever met, and I've lived in  3 countries. He won't ever leave you with residents. He likes keeping track of his patients' progress himself. He won't let the RN even give out Tylenol without his approval.

He will check up on you 3-5 times a day (including Sundays-a bit of a workaholic, eh?) when you are in the NCU/ICU and 2-3 times when you have been moved to a regular room.

Can't say enough good things about this doctor. All the nurses hate him because he's always puts the patients first. He will yell at whoever gets in the way of a patients convenience or recovery. He even told all the nurses to use English since I was having difficulty using Korean right after surgery. haha All his patients and family members are forever indebted to him and treat him as a legend.

If you need a surgeon and you live in Korea, I highly recommended Dr. Jae Hwan Lee of the Neurosurgery Department at Shinchon Yonsei Hospital. He is a surgeon who actually cares.  :)
