When I had surgery I was told I would need annual check-ups, every year. I was supposed to get an MRI every year. But after the first MRI after surgery( which was a year later) they told me everything looked perfect and I would not need an  annual MRI. Only if I would feel it was necessary. As in feeling ill or having trouble with one thing or the other.
But somehow it concerns me. What if something is already going wrong in my brain but I simply won't find out until it is too late?
Is there anyone else who isn't getting annual check-ups? Are my concerns valid?
What should I do?

Our Daughter has had a MRI/MRA done at 6 months after surgery and once every year after that.  At her last check-up 3 years after surgery the neurosurgeon has confident enough to have the scans done every other year.  I hope this info helps.

I'm having the same problem. It's been 7 years and no follow up. Scheduled an appointment this Thursday because of headaches and blood pressure up. Good luck
