so much to be thankful for!!
Nov 23rd, 2004 at 9:09pm

HI there With Thanksgiving coming up it always reminds me of the first time my family first learned of moya moya. I had an aneurysm the day after Thanksgiving and I almost didn't make it. That was 5 years ago Nov 26th. It has been a long road but I am so thankful that I am still here to see my kids grow up and to be around my family. I am also happy that DJ started this web site!  It is nice to know that I am not alone!!  Now that the surgeries are behind me I hope to have many years of life still ahead of me and I thank God for letting me stay here with my family.  Ann

Amen, Ann!  Well Said!

I, too, am thankful for my MM family, especially to DJ for creating this site.  I'm thankful for Dr. Scott. And, of course, I'm also thankful for my "real" family (for lack of a better distinction) and friends.

You said it right, Ann, there IS "so much to be thankful for!!"

What a nice time to remind ourselves of how lucky we are.I am most thankful for every little (((HUG))) and every "I Love you" from Kathleen. I will never forget how close we came to losing her. But  Kathleen and our family has become even stronger. She never stops teaching us all what's truely important. Of course I am thankful for all the wonderful people I have met on this site.I still pray everyday that Kathleen's recovery continues and she will regain all that she lost becasue of this disease, but I also know now that we can handle anything god gives us as long as we're together. I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday!

Yes, so many things to be happy for this year ;Grin!  Many tears have been shed, too, but I am very thankful for my MM family here on this site.

Happy Thanksgiving guys!  (DJ, I couldn't find a turkey smiley Undecided.)  Hope everyone has a great holiday. . . . .

LOL (in this case, lots of love!)

Yes, we have so much to be thankful for,  we can share so much.  I remember when my sister, Patty, had the almost fatal incident in 02/01.  Every morning Iwould go to the computer room,  cry my eyes out while I sent "Patty Updates" to friends and relatives.  Not knowing what the next day would hold.    No one could have imagined the pain my family was in because of mm.  When I happened on this website it was like a whole new world opened up to me -- I was not alone.  I wished this site was availabe before her big incident because I would have taken Patty on my back to a mm specialist.     Patty is an inspiration to everyone and feels that God has a plan for her.  She says when she gets up there she wants to ask Him - What were you thinking"then a big  laugh. What faith.  I have so much to be thankful for -- Have a happy turkey day to all the mm family.

Keep all our men and women in the military in your prayers  and  hope they will be home soon.  Our son Scott is in Iraq.
