Thanks everyone!  I'm going to wait a little bit longer for more requests - the more we order, the cheaper they are.  So hopefully we can get a fairly sizeable order!

Shari...thanks for doing this.

Everyone should double check about the sizes though...I made the 8 3/8" adult size out of paper 1/2" strip...and it comes right off my hand !!!!   The reason I'm more aware of the wrist size is I wear a medical ID for my diabetes and that bracelet is a 7 inch with almost one inch extra space and I wear that bracelet 24 hrs.  Then I made another strip of paper 7 3/8"  (youth size)...and there is plenty of room...I measured my wrist size...it is 6 3/8"  (I'm five feet and eight inches tall)...just thought you guys want to know.

I will look into Livestrong bands and see what their size is as I don't see them saying youth or adult and they seem to be the right size for the overall population...even my brother how bought the Livestrong bands for my boys was wearing one and he is six feet four inches tall and 275 pounds (big guy).

I may order all my 20 bands in youth size.

Thanks,  CarasMOM

Ok - I'm going to place the initial order this evening.  Does anyone else want to order the MM bands?

CarasMom - did you want to go ahead and order your 20 in the youth size?

For everyone else that has ordered, I will PM you when I know better about final cost.  Thanks everyone!

For everyone that placed their order with me already, please send me your address (PM me) so that I can send them to you!  I got a confimation e-mail where they gave an estimated ship date opf 1/25/05.

Hi Hillary -

I will definatley let you know!  You could always order them on your own at www.reminderband.com.  You have to order them in lots of 20 - which isn't so bad.  And the more you order the cheaper they are - look at the pricing structure.  We ordered light blue bands, with "MOYAMOYA AWARENESS" on them.

Hi Shari,
Great idea on the bands from everyone.  The website is easy enough for people to go to on their own and order.  It's going to be hard for you or anyone else to collect money then create an order.  By the time it's all done and everything is sent out it will end up costing the same $ in postage.  Maybe everyone can decide on one saying or quote.  Does it matter if the color differs?  What are everyones thoughts.  Looks to me as though the min order is 40 and they have to be same size and color.

I received my wristbands today and they look GREAT!  I can't wait to see what everyone's thoughts are on them.  Shari did a great job and I truly appreciate her taking the lead on this.

Kudos Shari!

Ok, I've set aside the wristbands that people have ordered.  After that, I have 25 adult and 15 youth sizes left (they are $2.00 each plus $4.00 for shipping).  I guess the way to handle this is first come first serve.  Just let me know if you want any by posting here or sending me a PM.  If you want a large quantity I'm going to suggest going to www.reminderband.com to order them yourself.  Minimum order there is 20 bands - no setup fee.  Thanks!

I like the idea of wristbands and would definitely purchase some for myself and family and friends. I like the idea of silver but wouldn't object to blue either.

I love the idea of the wristbands, color whatever you choose is fine with me..  I feel the world needs to be made aware of our rare disease... I was just recently diag. in Dec. 2004 & waiting to see the Neuro-surg. here in Alabama..  Keep me informed of the bands & I'll purchase one for sure..
Thanks

triciab & 4evermine -

They've already been ordered and many people have already received theirs.  We ended up ordering them in light blue - with MOYAMOYA AWARENESS debossed on them.  I have some extras if you want to buy them off of me...they are $2.00 each plus $4.00 shipping.  Tommyb has asked for 5 of them. I have 22 adult and 13 youth sizes left.  Please PM me if you want any.  Thanks!
