Losing two Grandfathers
Mar 9th, 2005 at 1:16pm

Just returned from back east yesterday...for our familys second funeral in 5 weeks.  While neither my dad nor my father n law had MM....but both had strokes that eventually led to their deaths...both at the end quietly in their sleep....one diabetic complications...the other was on dialysis 6 years.   It was time for the two of them to go....but they will be greatly missed !!!   Good to be back on MM though.  Much love,  CarasMOM.

Carol-
I'm so sorry for your losses!  I lost my grandmother and great-grandmother within six months of each other and that was so tough.  I miss them every single day!  I'm thinking of you and your family.  We are glad to have you back!
Big hugs!

Carol - I'm so sorry you're going through such a hard time....that must be difficult.  I can sypathize sort of - my family has been in and out of hospitals this past year.....

Right after I had my surgeries, my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer.  Then, when my dad had his surgery, my aunt was in the hospital at the same time - just down hall.  After that mess, my brother was rushed to the hospital (he's Diabetic).  Bro's fine now - but now my step-grandmother was just diagnosed with cancer and she's now going through radiation.  OY!  Enough already!  (On a good note - my brother - the one I mentioned above - is getting married at the end of this month).

Chelsie...thanks for the good wishes and prayers. Cheesy

Shari...I know many people that share the same thing..."never ends" routine..nonstop.  You feel like you have seen so many "full circles" of life repeated so many times so fast that you don't have time to sit and think...and when you do...you just ponder, pray and hope that while it may not slow down..it is making you a stronger person overall, makes you appreciate the littlest of little things so much.

And how I have appreciated this site that DJ put together from his heart !!!

hugs,  CarasMOM

Carol -

Thanks for your words...they were wonderful.  And it truly is how I feel.  I appreciate things a lot more - your right.  And I don't sweat the small stuff - in the grand scheme of things the small little annoyances or things that make me mad - don't matter as much.

You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
