Bit of a winge
Dec 20th, 2005 at 5:59pm

I don't know if I am just imagining things, but I am starting to get paranoid over this. I find that just about every time I post a reply to someone else's query, that's it - no-one replies further. Like yesterday's post - I thought I'd get in early and post everyone a christmas wish and NOT ONE OF YOU HAS REPLIED!
I find this rather rude and I don't know if this is intentional or not. I am sorry to be grinch like, but my intentions are always made for the right reasons, to try to help my new friends on this site. If my input is not required on this site then I don't have to be told twice.

Moira,

Oh my... Embarrassed  It saddened me to read your post.  You are very dear to me, and when people dear to me feel down and out, I do too....so please don't.  Smiley I understand how you may feel, but I'm thinking that maybe there's just so many other posts that many are not able to reply to all of the posts.  I know that before I returned to work about a month or so ago, I was here all day, and I used to reply to almost all of the posts, and I thought that people were probably tired of seeing "Shan" all over the place, putting my  Smiley everywhere.  But I know that when I post a question, I like to see everyone else's take/opinion, so I just posted my  Smileyanyway... Wink

Please know that I do understand how you feel, Moria, and if you look back at some of my postings, you'll see that I didn't receive many replies for some of my posts as well.  I just chalked it off that nobody could relate to my question.  I do notice that a select few choose not to reply to my inquiries, but that's okay.... I do appreciate and value the ones that I do get.   ;Grin

Please keep your head up!  Cheesy We're all here for you!  Enjoy the holidays!  You are very special!  Your comments and posts are very much appreciated...as is everyone's!

Big Hugs,  Smiley

Moira,

OH MY GOSH!!!!  I'm so sorry you feel this way.  Please don't take it personally that no one replied.  I think it's because everyone is so busy trying to get ready for the holidays.  And to be honest, the website has been really light lately.  Not many people are posting is what I have noticed.

Please know that I wish you a very Merry Christmas as well !!!!  Everyone on this website are very close to my thoughts and heart everyday.  Smiley

Moira,

I was shocked when I read this post Smiley

Please don't take a "no" post or a "last" post  as though your input is not worthy. You are an upbeat and inspirational individual and have shown others that one can live and have fun and be adventurous even with moyamoya. You are an exciting individual. We all have a story and we are all here to share stories and experiences in hopes of helping others and we are all here to support each other. It would be awful to think you couldn't depend on your MM family for support or you got the impression you were posting and no one cared. To the contrary!!

Many times I have been the last post (meaning no one else responds) I don't believe it is personal it may simply mean that nothing else need or can be said.  Sometimes people just don't know what to say so they say nothing. It doesn't mean they don't agree with you or feel the same way or even feel your pain or excitement.

I have been on the board but it has been sporadic lately as I work fulltime and with the holidays, I'm running around like a half wacked crazy person. Sometimes I come to the board but don't read all the posts at the same time. I may check quickly several times throughout the day and have even skipped several days at a time and not even been on the board. Sometimes my time is so limited, that I might read the post and have to come back to it later to actually post a response.

Please don't take this personally. As Michelle mentioned, the board has had rather light activity lately and I believe it is because of the holidays and people are really busy.

I too wish you a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year.

Hugs, Smiley

Lore

Hi Guys,
THANK YOU for making me feel better about it - every now and then I go off on a tangent (that's the Gemini in me!) and I shoot off at the hip. I am so sorry to have gone off and made this all about me.
All my Moya Moya family are also VERY special to me - especially you Shan - you are like a best friend!
Thank you Lore and Michelle as well. Lore I am so glad Kevin is coming along after his surgeries.

I do feel very priveleged to be a part of this family.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and lots of HUGS Smiley
Lots of love Moira

HI MORIA  i KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN.  AT TIMES IiVE FELT THE SAME way.   SOMETIMES I'LL MAKE WHAT I KNOW IS AN iNTELLIGENT OR AMUSING POST AND WAIT ANXIOUSLY FOR A REPLY AND GET NONE.  tHERE WAS A TIME ABOUT 4-6 MONTHS AGO WHEN I WAS CONSIDERING USING THIS SITE AS A VIEW ONLY RESOURCE.
WHO KNOWS mORIA, IT PROBABLY IS JUST OUR IMAGINATION AND I KNOW WE'RE NOT THE ONLY ONES WHO FEEL THIS WAY BUT IN REALITY WE EVENTUALLY DO GET OUR WANTED REPLYS BUT HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE WHO CAN TYPE A PAGE FROM THE PHONE BOOK AND GET 20 REPLYS Roll Eyes Smiley.  i DON'T KNOW?

HAVE A WONDERFUL CHTISTMAS AND NEW YEAR.

You still got your humor! Smiley  I really like that about you!  ;Grin  I too have felt what Moira and you have felt, but I tried to make like a duck and let it roll off of my back...Nonetheless, I don't know what I would do without all of you!  To have something that approximately 1 in 2 million people get is unbelievable!..and then to find a FAMILY that can relate to you and your experiences...is indeed a blessing!  Smiley  I couldn't have done it without all of you!

Aloha,
Shan
