Hi Debbie,

When they did my interview they told me it would be at least three months before I had any information.  It has been longer than that, but I am sure that they are overwhelmed with participants so I imagine it will take some time.  I know we are all anxious to hear, especially those who have children/siblings who may need to be tested as well.  I am just grateful that the research is being done and hope that one day, this information may used to help develop early screening methods or aid in genetic counseling.  Just my  Smiley.

I was just thinking of sending Dr. Bourgeois an email to see how things are going (now that my kids are back in school  and I sort of have my life back). We sent Kyle's spit in back in April, maybe early May and have not heard anything.  But Dr. B. did tell us at the reunion that because it is a non-profit study, they have to wait until they get a large number of kits (around 40, I think he said) to test at once so he asked us to be patient.  I'll post any response I get to the email.  I know we're all itching to hear!!!!
