Kate's MRI/MRA
Sep 5th, 2007 at 11:51pm

Hi Friends -

Just wanted y'all to know that Kate (Rinehart) will be having an MRI and MRA on Tuesday next, Sept. 11.  She had two small TIA's and two bad migranes within the last six weeks, so the doctor decided, to be on the safe side, to check and make sure there is no new stroke activity.  We think the migranes were altitude related (she was in the mountains) and hope the TIA's were stress and hydration related.  We will find out next week, so please keep her in your prayers.

Love all you guys,

Cass

Hi Cass!

I am so sorry to hear about Kate's TIA's.  Hopefully, you are right and it was altitude related.  My thoughts will be with her on September 11th and with your family as well.  Will she be going to Stanford for the MRI/MRA or getting them done locally.

Love you guys - please give Kate a hug for me.

Hugs to you as well.

Michelle

Hi Cass,

Sorry to hear about Kate's most recent TIAs and migraines. I can imagine it is scary and especially if this is something new and something happening recently.

It sounds like altitude could very well be the source of the migraines and stress and hydration can also be factors. If these things happened in the last two weeks then it makes sense that all the factors (stress, hydration and altitude) is the reason behind Kate's symptoms.

I'll be thinking of you two and keep us posted on the MRI/MRA results.

Hugs,

Lore

Thanks, everyone, for your thoughts and prayers.  I will keep you informed.  Michelle, Kate is having the tests in Stillwater, but Stanford will evaluate them.  Hopefully, we will have the results by the end of next week.

Love and hugs,

Cass

Hi Cass!

Sorry to hear about Kate.  Please let us know what happens.  My thoughts are with you.  I'll be back at Stanford in February/March to check my right side.  Last visit Dr. Steinberg saw signs of moyamoya developing.

Hugs,
Monica
