Posts: 87 Boynton Beach, USA, FL, Florida Gender:	MM and heart problems Oct 25^th, 2007 at 10:18pm Has anyone had heart complications because of MM or the meds you were on because of the MM. Just a question I have to see a cardiologist they dont think im having heart problems but I been having chest pains lately they thinking its my past throat problems but they want to be safe and I was wondering. Thankyou for your time ?

There may be a link since MMD is a vascular disease. I had atrial fibrilation and 2 catheter ablations to repair that. This was within 2 months of my cerebral bypass (EDAS). Quite a year for me. Russ

I had by-pass surgery in 2003 and one year later suffered a cardiac arrest. Had a defibrillator put in. Then a year later had a small heart attach. Sharon

I was told that because moyamoya is vascular it is possible to get it in the heart as well. hopw that was helpful, jesenia

I had echos and a treadmill test. The pain went away in about a week. I was then sent to the internist who Dx MM. I also have abnormal vessels in my kidneys. Lots of luck. Newt

I also have chest pain last year I have to go to ER. I wish some doctor study about this disease so I can be able separate my pain to difference catgory. Kieu
