Fibrolamellar Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Jan 2nd, 2008 at 10:02am

I have some news, the pathology report came back that my daughter's tumor was malignant. She has a rare form of liver cancer called Fibrolamellar Hepatocellular Carninoma.  Fortunately, they believe that they were able to remove the entire tumor, which is the best treatment/cure for this type of cancer. We meet with her doctors on January 16th for her follow up visit and  to review all of the information.  She was diagnosed with Moyamoya Christmas Eve 2005, and diagnosed with Cancer Christmas Eve 2007. She told me last night she had a great Christmas, because she was able to spend Christmas at home with her family and not in the hospital again. We told her the diagnosis the day after Christmas, and while we were all crying she wiped my tears away and told me not to worry because she was going to be okay, and she worries about me.  She is sixteen years old and has the grace and wisdom of someone much older. God bless her, and the fact that with all she has been through her attitude is positive and loving.  Pray for us!

My heart aches for you and your family. Your daughter will be in my prayers. She sounds like a very, very special girl.

I can’t even imagine being told that kind of news, let alone go through it. God love ya’s!Smiley
I’m so proud of your daughter. She has the right attitude and mindset to beat it. I too believe that she'll be ok and I will hold on to that hope as I wait for God’s answer.

Please keep us posted.
