Professor Mendelow operated on 1 year old Luca. He did a direct bypass using extremely small vessels which high-light his skills as a surgeon. He has done about 150 other bypasses on people of varying ages. He is surrounded by a very competent team including Dr Ramesh as the paediatric neurologist in Luca's case. Luca was operated on at the Newcastle General Hospital and all the staff were an absolute pleasure. Obviously we recommend him very highly.
