Need MM Surgeon in Dallas, TX area (Read 5386 times)

You asked about Dallas, not Houston. I’m such a knucklehead. I’m so sorry for the mix-up.

Not clear what you are sorry for. You didn't send me anything earlier about Houston or Dallas. I have seen some comments on the board about Dr. Rose in Houston. That is certainly doable for us if there is nothing closer.

Was just trying to see if someone else knew anyone closer.

I go counts back today from his Neurologist and the hospital. Since 2006, the hosp. has treated 50 MM patients. Chris's Dr. has personally treated 10 of those in the last 2 1/2 yrs. Not many...IMO. The nurse argued that based upon the rarity of the disease that is a large number. Sorry, not sold. We are sending off results to Steinberg. Chris has his baseline perfusion test on Tuesday am. That is supposedly the last test before they detail a treatment plan.

I apologized for posting info about a surgeon in Houston, rather than Dallas and deleted it when I realized I got the wrong city.

Oh, and for the record just for your comparison, Dr. Steinberg has done over 700 successful MM surgeries. He has a MM team/staff and does research on the disease. Stanford is one of the largest MM referral centers in the world.
