An update:

Kate emailed the Govenor a couple of weeks ago- he was supposed to come to her school to present the school with a "Blue Ribbon School" award a week or so after he missed her award ceremony.

She apparently emailed him to ask him to take a picture with her while he was there, to suprise me!!  Anyway, he didn't show up for that event either, again, called away on urgent business.

Today, she received a personal letter from him in the mail.  Congratulating her on her award, apologizing for not getting to see her, and inviting us to come to the State House to meet with him!!

If only you could have seen her face!!  She got all red, and was almost giddy!!  It was very sweet.

I'm so proud of her!!   

Way to go, Kate!!

You go, Kate! He'd better be at the State House when you get there or all your moyamoya family will start writing him letters!
