1 year ago at this time 830 am my now 13 year old young man was in the O R having surgery that changed his life to treat moya moya now one year later with very few headaches , and a few changes in meds he is pretty much back to normal , minus the teen tude , lol , to all parents and fellow moya moya patients on this site , thank you for all the support from the time i found the site about a year and half ago to now , thanks for all your support and kind words!!!!! This site helped me as a Mom more than you will ever know .. .... oddly enough Josh has a follow up appointment at Sick kids today...exactly 1 year later

I am so glad to hear that things are going well fro him. Ruby also had her one-year post-surgical follow up with her neurosurgeon exactly one year to the day from her first surgery. I know how relieved you are. Destin just had her 2 year check up last week and things look good. School has been much better for her this year too. She also had Botox injections for her migraines. It's too early to tell for sure but it seems to be helping!
