I highly recommend Dr. R. Loch Macdonald at St. Michael's.

Hi Sorry for the very late response - you have probably already had your surgery, but Dr. Tymianski at Toronto Western did my daughter's surgery and appears to be the only specialist for adults in Canada.  Dr. Dirk at Toronto Sick Kids is the specialist for children.

Hope all went well with your surgery if you had it?

No worries. Since, this posting, I haven't been back to often due to seeing every MMD specialist in Toronto.. I went to see Dr. Tymianski, but he refused to see me. It was all good, cuz I had my EC/IC Bypass Surgery done by Dr. Wallace. I found, in my experience, he to be authentic, quite honest and tell it like it is. For me, with my diagnoses being one of the rarest one's, that was something I was looking for. I knew that having my surgery there was only a 10% chance of success rate, and still I opted to have it. The surgery was unsuccessful, but from my perspective, I had to 'try'...  I had been to Sunnybrook, Toronto General, St. Michael's, St. Joseph's, North York, Scarborough, Princess Margaret, East York, Mount Sinai and Toronto Western Hospitals, and no other specialist at these hospitals would consider trying any sort of intervention, no attempt whats so ever. This is why, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Wallace because he took a chance on me, that NO other specialist would.
Thank you for you kind good wishes. I hope you daughter is doing better. I am very glad to read that she was fortunate enough to have surgery done.  Wink Wink
