I live in the Chicago area and researched every neurosurgeon in the area before I had my surgery. I would have gone to Dr. Steinberg at Stanford for my surgery but could not afford it at the time. I ended up with a very good surgeon (and neurologist) at University of Chicago- even Dr. Steinberg said he was a good surgeon. If you are interested his name is Dr. R. Loch MacDonald and his number is 773-702-2123. He has done the surgery enough times to have made me feel comfortable. The neurologist is Dr. James Brorson 773-702-6222- and this doctor is absolutely amazing!
