There are no reliable studies that would yet show the benefits of operation in the long run IN ADULTS. The case is different in children. The severity of the narrowing/blockage, how well collaterals supply blood etc., obviously the symptoms, detailed anatomy at the infleunced area etc. are among factors to consider. I haven't been to oxygen extraction study (PET scan), I will ask the possibility to carry out it.
It would be ossom to have a doctor participate in this discussion!!
