What state is your friend applying for Medicaid in? I am in Illinois and I fought for over a year and was denied several times. What your friend must understand is that this is just a game to the Medicaid people. They won't take the claim seriously until she hires a lawyer. Within 2 months of doing so I was approved. I have no doubt that if I didn't hire a disability/SS/Medicaid lawyer I could fight this unsuccessfully for the rest of my life. Also, explain to doctors what is going on and most of the time they will cooperate in any way they can (even lie) to help their patiant get Medicaid. You do what you have to do I guess to save your life or your childs.
