My son patrick is 15 years old and is scheduled to have surgery at Boston's childrens hospital 18 Aug. He suffered a major stroke last november and it was then that we found out he had allready had 5 or 6 strokes previously and that he had MoyaMoya, he was paralyzed and unable to speak but fought through all that and is doing well now. He is very upset over the thought of this surgery and hasnt really grasped how much it will give back to him as far as quality of life goes, and he is even refusing to visit this or any other web sites to learn more about it. if there are any teens or parents of teens out there that might have some words to say to him please e-mail me and I will forward them to him. Maybe we can help him see this surgery in a positive light
