Earnest,
I was wondering why she had that type surgery if the problem was deep in her brain didn't they know this from tests ahead of time? Did she have a spec scan? I think from information I've read it should have taken in at least 6 months. One of the reasons we chose Dr. Steinberg was because he does one side at a time and that was our particular choice I'm not saying that has anything to do with her problems but maybe they would have know not to do the 2nd side if the first didn't work. Dr. Scott is an excellent Dr. and lots of people have gone to him but maybe for your peace of mind and to feel more comfortable with some better answers you should get a 2nd opinion or 3rd whatever it takes to get a prognonsis you feel better with. I can't help but think something can be done for her. Dr. Steinberg in California will also get back to you right away especially by E-Mail. Mandy and many others only spent 24 hrs. in I.C.U. and a couple days after that were realeased from the hospital, Mandy didn't because of her previous strokes. You have to push, push, push, until to feel comfortable with the answers your given and you don't seem to be comfortable with the ones you've got so far. If not Dr. Steinberg someone else who's specialty is moyamoya. Please ask any more questions you have we'll help in any way. Thoughts and Prayers are with you.
