Florida neurologist wanted
Oct 19th, 2005 at 12:25am

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good neurologist in the New Port Richey area of Florida (or anywhere in the vicinity within reason).  NOT for Moyamoya but for a family member of mine there that is having a difficult time getting any answers or quality care so far and *may* have Neuropathy or Parkinsons.

By the way, I will be in the Naples area end of Oct-Nov 7 and if there is anyone in that area with MM, I would love to meet up with you!

Thanks,
Lisa

Hi Lisa

Dr Bernard A Macik
1840 Mease Dr Suite 401
Safety Harbor,FL 34695
727-726-8287

He is who I used for stroke follow-up.He is a good Dr.at the time,But we did not know about MM in 2001.

Also call Tampa General Hospital Referral line.

About Naples I know Little.I think they have a Mayo or Cleveland clinic there.

If all else fails their is Uof F Shands Hospital in Gainsville,Fl.
By the way Dr Macik is about 15 miles south of New Port Richey.

Hope It Helps

Thank you SOOOO much Kevin.  Smiley That info is of immense help!   I didn't realize either (or just forgot) that there is a Mayo in Florida too.  Kind of far for this family member to go but I guess if you are desperate enough....   Think we'll try Dr. Macik first, although I just heard that the Gainesville hospital has a great neurology department too.

Too bad you won't be in FL in November- would love to meet you!  Although, with hurricane Wilma, I'm not sure there will be a Naples for me to visit!  Smiley

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
