Stanford Info. Booklet/DVD
Nov 12th, 2005 at 3:36pm

Hi everyone!

I know I don't post much at all, but I do read our boards on a regular basis.   ;Grin

Just wanted to drop in really quick to let you all know that I received the Stanford Moyamoya information booklet and DVD today and I was so happy.  The topics that are touched in the pamphlet are some of the very first questions I ever had about this disease and it makes me so happy to know that future patients will have this as a resource.  The pictures are awesome and just looking at all of the different faces who live with Moyamoya make me feel "normal" in a sense.  I told my parents and my boyrfriend that it makes me PROUD to be a Moyamoya patient, hehe.   Roll Eyes

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.  Take care and God bless!

I've got the booklet as well and immediately went up and gave my brother one.  It gave him something to read and look at while he's in the hospital recovering from surgery.  They did a great job on the pamphlet.  Smiley

We received the Stanford MoyaMoya Booklet and DVD as well and they are awesome! Smiley

The pictures, as Jan stated, show you are not alone with having MM and remind us that it could be not only a MM patient but someone else you know - a child, parent, brother, sister or simply the person next door.

What a terrific tool to not only educate oneself about MM but to educate the medical community and others.

Stanford did and excellent job with the Booklet and we are so glad to see something of this magnitude published about MM and the topics of concern regarding MM addressed.

Go Stanford! Smiley

I was misdiagnosed with MM in March of 2005. In January 2006, I was told it is not MM, but rather a massive restriction in the MC1 segment of my left carotid artery.

We received this info also.  What great info to keep with us at all times.  We watched the DVD today.  It was fun to see all the familiar faces.  Dr. Albers was the one who took care of Eddie first and diagnosed the MM.  Thanks to him!  Hope everyone else receives this great gift.

Hi!

I am not sure how big this informationbooklet is in weight or size. How do I get a copy? I feel I have to get the word out to SOMEONE in this (when it comes to moyamoya) uneducated part of the world and maybe this could help?  Undecided
