Discovery Channel show "Dirty Jobs"
Nov 22nd, 2005 at 11:23pm

I spent 16 hours at work yesterday with the television crew from The Discovery Channel show "Dirty Jobs".  They spent the entire day filming my co-workers doing what we do on a daily basis.  Personally, I stayed "behind the scenes" so I probably won't make it on the show but I think they did a VERY GOOD job of showing what my job in the military is really like.  It was nice to get a few of the people that bust their butts for me every single day to get some national media attention!

Our episode of "Dirty Jobs" will run nationwide sometime in February.  I'll let you know more when I hear an exact date!

Also, here is the article that ran in the local Wichita paper about it today, along with two pictures the paper took.

Salute you DJ!

Going into a fuel cell of a KC-135 is static electric nightmare!(no smoking!)
I beleive the 135 is milatary version of Boieng 707 with Hi Bybass Turbo Fans, refited.
I don't know what fuel they received JP4(kerosene) or higher.
Any how it is a dangerous job, concentrated fuel vapors in one place!!!!
Be safe DJ!,We want you running MM.com,not Jet Fuel!

Wow DJ,

That's pretty cool.  I watch the show Dirty Jobs every once in a while (whenever I have a chance with the remote)   ;Grin.  There are times when I have to turn it off,
it gets a little to gross for me to watch  Smiley.  Too bad you weren't being filmed, then you could add movie star to your resume. Smiley
