If you want to see a fantastic movie...

Smiley    Go out and treat your self to one of the best movies of the year and one of the best that I've ever seen.

Walk the Line, the life story of Johnny Cash was unbelieveable.  I think we're looking at 3 oscars,
Best picture, best Actor, Jaquin Phoenix,  and best actress for Reese Witherspoon.  Not only was the acting great but I couldn't believe that the actors sang all of the songs themselves.
Anyone else see this?  What did you think?

I was always a Johnny Cash fan and was privliged to have seen him twice in concert along with his wife June Carter Cash.  The movie tells a fantastic story of an extrodinary life and the acting and singing made me feel that I was watching the real thing.

So how about your review?  I give it

Tom,

Yep....my brother and I saw it in the theater when it came out.  I was also amazed that they sang all the songs as well!

The acting was great!  Hopefully, they will remember it for the Oscars.  But I always know how that works out!

I just saw Munich last night - by Steven Spielberg - great (but long - 2 1/2 hrs) and very though-provoking movie!

Hi Tom...

Yes, I saw the movie too.  I give it 2 1/2 stars.  I think it's because I'm really not a Johnny Cash fan.  In fact, I think that's the real/main reason.  I do like Reese Witherspoon, though! hee hee Cheesy  (I actually liked Ms. Witherspoon in Legally Blonde better).  Yes, I'm into "those" types of movies.  Wink

I just went to see Narnia, the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe TWICE in 2 weeks and give that movie 2 thumbs up.  Smiley Smiley  Ever since being diagnosed with MM, and since my double bypass surgery in May, I've noticed that I am a little slower than I used to be, so I didn't really catch the biblical/religious inuendos the first time I saw Narnia.  I took my 11 yr old son with me the second time, and he loved it!  If I may, I highly recommend others to see it to.... Wink

Thanks for your review on Walk the Line.  Great topic!

p.s.  How come when I type the word which is the opposite of FORK (sorry, it won't print the "S" word),  "thingy" shows up?  I can't type Reese's real last name Undecided  Can someone else try and type s-p-o-o-n?

Take care,
Shan
