I was just thinking of Carol and Cara the other day.... Hope everything's alright.  I know they were quite busy with their recent move.  Has anyone heard from them lately?  Smiley

Take care,
Shan

Hi guys....am just too busy....three teenage boys (senior and two sophomores) all struggling in school and have been taking bulk of my time....but am going to back off some and let them fall so they realize what it really takes to do it...but hate to let one of them fall too deep but if its the only way...so be it.    Cara on the other hand struggled with school in the beginning...shes a whole year older than her classmates and is the bottom 3rd of the class but is making progress...slowly....due to her strokes between surgery one and two...we think her math is affected more but I see progress now that she understands spelling tests, getting 100 percent, daily practices,  reading more and more slowly...unfortunately still has little TIA's daily...probably time to increase her medication.  But shes growing, very happy girl, nothing bothers her....hugs people like crazy. ;Grin.   I'll slowly come on more and more and realize there are so many new names on board and I got lots of reading and catching up to do...thanks for thinking of me Shan...Jill also called yesterday and talked to one of my boys wondering if all was ok.    Love you all !!!!   Carol

So glad to hear from you, Carol!  I only have one son that keeps me busy, so I can't even imagine three!   Wink hee hee...  I'm sure you're doing what every mother would do.  Even though we want to somehow teach our kids a lesson, it is our motherly instinct to be there at the same time and protect them.

Glad to hear Cara is still her loving self, but sad to hear about her daily TIAs.  I too am starting to feel feelings of numbness in my fingers and lip, which is scaring the living daylights out of me!  Shocked  If it's something that I need to just get used to, then so be it, but I'm just scared that TIAs are just a warning sign that something "bigger" is about to happen.  I'm still learning...

Anyway, we sure do miss you here.  Please give Cara a big Smiley for all of us!  (But don't tell her that DJ has a girlfriend.  Lips Sealed  Wink  hee hee)

Take care,
Shan

Carol, I am so sorry to hear that Cara is having TIAs as well as difficult time in school.  I know how hard it is to see these things happening to your baby.  I know that there's nothing you wouldn't give to have it happening to you instead.  My son Michael is suffering in school as well due to this horrid disease.  He has visiospatial issues that affect many aspect of school -- including math.  I just won a battle with his school to allow him to use a keyboard in school because his fine motor skills are extremely bad.  You're not alone.  I'll pray for your baby.
