If you were with us in Orlando and have more pictures that you would like put on the convention pages, check out http://www.moyamoya.com/gallery and upload them so I can get them added.

DJ,

Thanks for sharing the Orlando reunion pics. Looks like everyone had a really great time.

It is nice to put a face with a name. Like Cass and Kate.  It is also heartwarming to see how well so many are doing. I was thrilled to see Bobby, Brenda and Amy. Brenda looks fabulous and appears to be doing very well. Your mom is as lovely as ever and Connor is a cutie. It is nice to see Mandy and Nancy. Mandy looks good and she appears to be doing well too. Of course I won't name them all but it was good to see my buds from Stanford and last year's reunion and as I mentioned before, to put a face with a name.

I hope I get the opportunity to attend next year's reunion. Has there been talk of where that might be and when? Since this reunion was in the South and the one before that in the West are you considering the Midwest for the next reunion?

Thanks again for sharing this year's reunion with us.

Hugs,

Lore

Hi Lore Smiley
I thought the meeting was wonderful!!!  My family had such a good time!!  I heard some talk in the hospitality room that Busch Gardens has a compassion department....that is in St. Louis, Missouri and there is a Six Flags Amusement park nearby...maybe I could start something there????  I am up for the challenge if that is something everyone would want to do??  I like when we have some time to plan and save for the trip...anyway just let me know what you think Cheesy
Your Friend,
Kathleen

DJ, Steph, Conner and Linda,

I just wanted to write a quick note to thank you for all that you did to organize that wonderful weekend in Orlando.

My family had such a great time.  I cannot explain to you how great it was to meet so many families, with MM patients in every age range, dealing with the same kinds of issues that our family is dealing with.  It helped me so much to talk with other parents, and see how well everyone is dealing with things.

My     s loved meeting everyone, and were really inspired by the other MM survivors.  My husband was skeptical at the first mention of us going - I think maybe he thought it would be depressing, everyone getting together to talk about their brain surgeries.  But even he was glad we came - I think it helped him to see people "moving on", not stuck after surgeries - going to college, starting families, back to work, etc.  And my son, well, he was just happy that there were other boys to play with!  It truly was an awesome weekend for all five of us.

The other thing that amazed us was how warm and welcoming everyone there was.  When people read posts on this site, and everyone talks about being a "family" - it's true!!  Never in my life have I felt so comfortable with a room full of people I've never met before!!  I want to thank everyone who came for being so wonderful - I feel so blessed to have met you all, and we are SO, SO looking forward to next year!! Smiley

We're looking forward to keeping in touch with all of our new "family" members - and want to make sure you all know - we live only 40 minutes or so from Boston - so anyone coming to see Dr. Scott - please let us know!!  You're always welcome in our home!!  And, even if you're not coming to see Dr. Scott, but would like to visit NH, we would love to have you.

Take Care, everyone, and please Keep in touch!

Lots of love,  Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Kiss Kiss Kiss

PS-Steph and DJ, I hope you got the note we left in your hotel door on Sunday!!

Kristen and Family,

We were so glad that we were able to meet you and your family in Orlando.  We had a wonderful time at the convention and can't wai to see everyone next year.  Thank you again for all the fun at Blizzard Beach on Sunday!!  We had a great time and I'm so glad that the kids had a good time with Conner, he's still talking about the week!

I'm so glad you had a good time a the convention.  Not being a sufferer myself, it's wonderful to sit back and watch as our "family" truely forms a bond.  Knowing that you aren't the only person in the world to have this disease, has to be a comfort.  That's the whole idea of our conventions, to meet and blossom new friendships, having a common denominator.  It is SO humbling to be a part of this family, I cherish each and every one of you.

Kristen, you have a wonderful family and know that if there is anything that DJ or myself can do, please don't hesitate to get ahold of us.

I look forward to seeing your family next year...June isn't too far away...already!

Much love and support,
Steph

Steph  it was soooo good to finally meet you and Connor, DJ is really lucky to have someone like you that really FITS in with "OUR" Family.....And the way you answer everyone so nicely is Great !!!!!! WELCOME with Open Arms......Can't wait till next June  Shocked If not next year I think a 3 day Cruise would be a GREAT place for "OUR" Reunion and ships go out all over the place and with group rates the cruises aren't that expensive when you consider everything is included in the price (lodging and food) and entertainment and LOTS of ROOM for everyone to be in the same place..............   that's just my 2 cents ;Grin
