A fitting poem - it makes me think of you!
Oct 13th, 2006 at 8:03pm

Hello, MM family!

A friend shared this poem with me recently, and it made me think of you.  Especially this week, after several of you held my hand while my girls had their first adventure since being diagnosed.  I think I'll add it to my profile - but wanted you to know that I'll think of all of you, and be so grateful for your love and friendship, every time I read it.  Here it is.............

"Come to the edge."

"We can't. We're afraid."

"Come to the edge."

"We can't.  We will fall!"

"Come to the edge."

And they came. And he pushed them.

And they flew.

Love you all! Kristen Kiss

That's really sweet. It's so true though it's everyone here who helps us have the courage.I know how you feel about the girls and their "adventure".I feel like everyday that I drop Kathleen off at school is an adventure.I can't wait until I can go back and pick her up and hear all about her day. She's in 3rd grade and everyday feels like the first still.I worry if she's able to communicate everything she needs to,if she's tired or fustrated, will they help her feel better, will she stumble while she's walking.the list is never ending but what keep me sian is knowing that she is having fun and loves being with her friends.I've gotten many odd looks from other moms over my concerns but Oh well I know I'm not alone........
Thanks for the poem it's beautiful.

Kristin,

I love the poem! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Life is full of risks. Without risk there is no gain.... nothing ventured nothing gained. Sometimes we have to face our fears to fly. And you did just that. You let go and discovered you can fly. Makes me want to venture outside my comfort zone!

Hugs,

Lore

Kristen,

I chuckled when I read your post. Kevin (Cubbie) is going to visit some friends in Florida this week. I promised not to call his cell phone every hour on the hour. Let's see if I can actually pull it off. I'm at the edge now let's see if I can fly. LOL!

Hugs,

Lore

You can do it, Lore!!  I know you can!

I will tell you from experience, having sisters is such a gift.  My sister is my very best friend, and I don't know how I would get through all of the stuff we've gone through without her.

Kevin is so lucky to have you - even if you do use up all of his cell phone minutes!  Wink

Good luck, I'm sure Kevin will be ok - and as for you, red wine is your friend!!!!!!

Hugs,
Kristen
