Update on Trey's first surgery
Jun 23rd, 2004 at 1:53pm

Hi all,

Sorry it has taken ma a day to get to the computer.  You know surgeries never go on the time schedule as planned.

Trey is doing GREAT!!!!!  He is acting like himself.  He had to have an Artirial Line stitched into him artery in his wrist for the surgery yesterday and they are keeping him in PICU today and tomorrow to watch this and his second surgery is tomorrow.  But he is acting great and in good spirits, no complications.

I will let you know how he is doing tomorrow after the left side surgery (right side was yesterday).  Thank you for all of your support.  Please do continue to pray for him.

Michell

;Grin SmileyThat is wonderful news Michell!!  You can just tell in your post that you sound good also!  Give that precious baby boy a hug from all of his MM family out here and one for you also!!  How are you holding up?  I know it is a relief just to see him and see that he is doing okay.  Take care of yourself so that you can take good care of him.   Smiley

Hey everyone,

We are waiting for the doctors to decide what time they want to take Trey back today  Smiley.  His face has been swelling, his right eye is almost swollen shut, not quiet, but the doctor and nurses says that is normal and we figured it was.  He is doing great.  He has been a little fussy, probablu hurting.  He said his first sentence yesterday, he picked his hand up to wave at me and said "Hey MaMa".  He can only say dada, mama, words like dada and mama, and hey, and something that sounds like hey there.  But it was so clear hand waving and "Hey MaMa".  He is great and me and my husband, Jason, we are holding up well.  It hurts really bad to have to leave him for hours at a time in the unit, but hopefully we will be in a real room tonight.  How is everyone else doing?

I will email you as soon as I can.  They have Internet service in a building connected to the hospital, but it is only open until 5pm and if they get him back like the other day it was after 5 when he came out.  So if I don't post today then I will post tomorrow.

Thank you all for thinking of us and keeping us in your prayers.  You know this syndrome has given Trey an awsome testimony and us one because of it too.  Our faith has alway been there but in something like this your faith has the opportunity to really grow and share with others, mine is growing and you all are sharing, thank you for that.  I will be glad when I can share more too.  Thank you all.

Smiley,
Michell

Your family will continue to be in my prayers.

Michell and Jason,  I am so glad to hear that Trey is doing well.  I have an 11 month oldboyand 4 year old boy, so I feel for ya having to go through that.  I cry just when they get their vaccinations, so I can only imagine how hard this is on you.  I know that my faith has gotten stronger this last year.  I really got strength, peace, and courage from my prayers and the prayers of so many others.  I'll keep praying for you and Trey to make it through this and have good health, stength, and peace Kiss   Tricia Cheesy
