Trey's second surgery
Jun 25th, 2004 at 11:29am

SmileyHey guys,

We are about to go home!!!  Trey is doing very well.  He seems to be pretty happy, he may be in a little pain but he is doing great.  He pulled off one of his bandages today, it doesn't look bad.  His right eye is still swollen from Tuesdays surgery-but not black and blue yet, and we are still waiting for the left eye to start swelling.  He is in great spirits, and is still trying to move the left hand and leg.  We know all of this will still take some time, we are just so incouraged and know that God is the one to give all of this glory to.  Thank you all for everything.  I will keep you updated.  If you have any tips for me to look for or do after we get home today, please let me know.

We will be getting ready for Trey's first birthday on Monday, I can not believe what he has gone through in this first year (actually the last 4 months).

Thanks,
Michell, Jason, and Trey

Michell,
His other eye may not get as bad, Mandy's one eye was quite a bit more swollen and bruised than the other. I'm so glad he's going home that is fantastic news he sure is a trooper, Good Luck to Trey and a wonderfully Happy Happy Birthday what a great one to celebrate for more than one reason. Give him a b-day hug for us. Keep us updated.

Happy B-day Trey! So glad yall got to go home today as planned. Now you don't have to worry about those visiting hours and you can hold him while he sleeps. I'm so glad everything went good for yall. I hope everything continues to go well and Trey continue to improve with the movement on his left side. He will do GREAT!            Nikki

Michell and Jason - well done for Trey!  Children/babies are tough because they don't feel sorry for themselves like we adults can do, but push themselves to the limit.  Nancy and I are thinking of you a lot.  Please keep posting your updates.

Smiley I've been waiting for good news.  When I hug my baby, I think of yours, too.  So glad you'll be able to hug Trey in time for his birthday.  When my Hayden is celebrating his B-day in a few weeks, I'll be thinking of Trey and thanking God!!
God Bless!  Tricia Smiley
