That is so wonderful about the airline tickets!  Welcome to the MM website!  You will be amazed at the staff there at Stanford.  I can name over 15 caregivers that I will remember forever!  The best feeling is getting into your own room and then showing the docs that you are doing well by walking around.  I ended up only having 4 nights in the hospital  post op after each surgery.  Everyone is so nice.  I had my first surgery on 6/30 and the 2nd surgery the 7th of July.  The first surgery lasted 6 1/2 hours the second 8 1/2 hours.  The blood flow came out good.  I am at home now recovering.  I am so blessed because I had minimal side effects from them.  You will be surprised about the pain; it is not as bad as having a stomach ulcer removed!  I am waiting for the swelling to go down and regain all feeling in my left side of my head.  This should be shortly.  The best thing is that I am not at high risk for stroke anymore.  You and your family will be in my prayers.   SmileyKristina

Hi SBG,

That's wonderful news. You're going to the best doctor in the country IMO for your son. Have a safe trip and please keep us posted. You all will be in our thoughts and prayers.

That's great information as well about "Angel Flight, Inc. That may help others in the future. Thank you.

God bless,
Mar
