Hello Everyone,

To update you on Lisa, she is doing much better than expected for the moment, but her blood pressure is still sky high and she’s having longer TIA’s with numbness of the right arm and leg. Her speech and thought process is slowly coming back though. I speak to her several times a day, but unfortunately I’m not learning much more than this or why all this is happening. I do know they believe her stroke not to be severe, thank God, but they know so very little about mm where she’s at and that’s frightening to Lisa. She’s trying so very hard to get to Stanford to see Dr, Steinberg ASAP. Deej and Lisa were scheduled to go to Stanford in Sept. or Oct. anyway, before all this happened, so hopefully once they get there we’ll all get more answers. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. As I learn more, I'll keep you posted.

Thank you.
Mar

SadLisa we miss you and your dogs miss you.  You were my first MM friend from this site A long time ago.  I love ya and am praying for you.  I had a stroke and know that they're an SOB but it sounds like you're going to be ok.  Just work hard and do what ever they tell you for rehab.
I made you an offer once before that still stands.  I can put you up at my house in N.J. and get you in to see Dr. Connolly.  He says that insurance is not an issue. and I know that you've had insurance problems. in the past.
Take care and God bless and pray to saint Philomena.

Please let Lisa know that many prayers are being sent up for her.  It must be very frustrating.  I guess, I sort of came into this thinking that once the surgery is over with and my one year of monitoring is over that I would never have to think about MM again.  I THOUGHT I WOULD BE FIXED!!  It's soo scary to think that Lisa was doing well and now she's had a stroke.  I guess it's a lifetime of worrying.

Love and Prayers to you Lisa!!! Smiley

Thank you everyone for your prayers and words of concern.  I appreciate it more than you'll ever know!

I don't have much to tell you as I still don't really know what is going on and I continue to have various problems which no one seems to know what to do about.  It's getting me frustrated and down and going to Stanford doesn't look possible for the immediate future.  I have so many questions and concerns right now, not to mention that I feel like I'm just hitting my head against a brick wall (literally and figuratively!).  Once I get my thoughts together a bit more I will probably post a bunch of questions on the board with the hope that some people might have some answers or opinions about. I do know this much though, if you have MM, get yourself a specialist if at all possible!  Not just any doctor will do!

Until later, thank you so very much for thinking of me and please continue to keep me in your prayers and thoughts.  It keeps me going! Kiss

Lisa

Oh Lisa, it is good to hear from you.  I have been thinking of you everyday.  I hope someone can find something out for you soon.  Take care and get lots of rest.  You are all that matters right now.
