Has anyone had the Dural Inversion Procedure?
Sep 21st, 2004 at 10:40pm

Hi All,
Cally had her doctor visit in Houston today with Dr. Dauser.  Everything went great.  He thinks all is well.  He also believes the reason she had the one episode of numbness in her hand after exerting herself in P.E. is due to an infection she had.  He said she was probably dehydrated and got too hot. He didn't think an angiogram was necessary.  I feel very relieved.  I did find out the procedure he invented, that he performed on Cally, is called Dural Inversion.  He did use scalp arteries but he also did this procedure.  He takes a piece of the brain dura and flips it over and lays it directly on the brain.  He said this makes the blood vessels multiply tremendously.  I'm interested to know if anyone else has had this procedure or heard of it.  As for Cally,  he said that he won't need to see her again unless there is further problems.  I feel so blessed.  Thanks for listening.    Sincerely,  Michelle
