Well, I sure was disappointed tonight. Only a few delivered the "60's" with any true heart. Me being the "old fart" that I am, know there was so many more great songs they could have chosen, to do their voices justice.  Anwar, ...Burt Bacharach?? What were you thinking?? Smiley Nadia was great though, the best tonight, IMO. Smiley

Nancy.....I'm with you there.  My brother and I are pulling for Bo!  Bo Bice!  What a name!  I agreed that Nadia did well, too.  I think the best last night was Nadia, Bo, and Constantine.

It would be good to see a rocker win the thing.  Smiley

WOW!  Carrie was AWESOME tonight!  I might as well turn off the TV after that one.  BEST overall performance of the year!

You all CRACK ME UP!!!!!  Believe it or not, I watched AI for the first time ever tonight - had to see what all the hype was about.

Didn't exactly need a smoke after Carrie's performance (you go, Deej!), but yes, she was terrific.  I liked Jessica too, and Anwar was definitely easy on the eyes!  Guess I've missed better performances by Constantine, 'cause I didn't care for him at all.  I'm thinking about getting a 'do like Vonzel's (ha, no one would recognize me, would they?)  Anyway, guess I'll tune in tomorrow night to see how it all goes.

Good to finally see what y'all have been talking about, but what happens at the end?????

I heard on the radio this morning that something happened with the voting last night.  They're throwing all the votes out and there will be a special AI on tonight with encore performances from last night!  Hmmmm....

still haven't see Idol yet...but when I saw MSN...that Simon got "Carrie - d" away by DJ's fav....all I could picture was DJ on cloud nine, all excited...smiling ear to ear like he has in all those pictures  ;Grin.   The above address is the article about the problem they had with the votes due to wrong phone numbers.

Maybe I'll catch it tonite...even though I "can't hear" them sing...but I can sure "read" the body language as they sing and imagine it.

Too bad you didn't bet on her from day one in Las Vegas.. you may hit the jackpot.

I wonder how many cigarettes Deej is going to have tonight?     Smiley   Hearts will be swimming all around DJ's head tonight with the repeat performances.

I think I'm going to  Smiley   LOL!

Make sure you vote for the right person tonight, DJ

O.K., I get it that last night's voting was screwed up.  When do they tell you the results of this second vote?  Is it a process of elimination thing?  One person at a time, or what?  Sorry to be such a rookie . . .   ;Grin

Hi Jill!

The results of last night's show will be on tonight and I'm not sure what time.  And yes, each show one person is voted off.

Ummmm....................after last night......Bo is going to win this competition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Sorry to have to be the one to say it, but his second performance last night was over the top!  And his first performance when they told me the song he was singing......I thought would be bad, but he did an awesome job.

It will be down to Carrie and Bo, but my prediction is that Bo will win.

Ok!  THAT'S IT!!!!!!   I'm not voting anymore on American Idol.  Poor BO!  I guess I'm happy for Carrie, but I still wanted Bo to win!  Either way, they both will make albums.  And I still say that they had the best two up there in the finals.  I must say this was the best season of American Idol so far!  And yes, I'll admit it -- DJ.....you were RIGHT!

America chooses Carrie
By Tom O’Konowitz
Daily Herald Staff Writer
Posted Thursday, May 26, 2005

When pressed, America will always choose the county fair over “Headbangers Ball.”

That said, Wednesday night’s big news that farm girl Carrie Underwood is our new “American Idol” hardly comes as a big shock.

But it did teach us a very, very important lesson:

Horrible choices in hair style and dress will not drag you down if you’re a great singer.

Associated Press
Carrie Underwood was named Wednesday as the winner of the fourth season of "American Idol."

Such is the Underwood.

“I’m just grateful for everything that’s happened and everything that’s going to happen,” the country girl said during the big finale. And her teary-eyed performance of “Inside Your Heaven” at the end of the show did give some of us chills, for sure. Bravo, Carrie!

(Her single of that song hits stores June 14.)

Meanwhile, a moment of silence for Bo Bice, please.

The long-haired rocker with a drug conviction and charm that just won’t stop walked away the runner-up, although he got a sweet, sweet car from the “Idol” people and has been all but promised a record deal from Clive Davis at BMG Records.

During his uber-cheesy duet of “Up Where We Belong” with Carrie, The Bo proved yet again he is the best singer and performer to grace the “Idol” stage this season. But incessant dialers seemed to disagree.

“American Idol” got a record 500 million votes by phone or text message this season. (Not counting the 30 million or so votes that were tossed during that little foul-up with the phone numbers.)

Anyway, we couldn’t end the “Idol” season without commenting on Kenny G’s unfortunate — if not painful — performance with Anthony Fedorov and Anwar Robinson. They were voted off for a reason!

And a big congrats to the “Idol” crew for their hilarious skit ripping on ex-finalist Corey Clark’s claims he had sex with show judge Paula Abdul. Randy Jackson’s “Buy My CD” T-shirt pretty much summed up that whole controversy perfectly.

More “Idol” next year!
