Tomorrow is the big day-3/4/05
Mar 3rd, 2005 at 3:00pm

Hi Everyone! I haven't been on in a while. I was hospitalized with a TIA for about 4 days. I''m OK now. I still have some numbness and tingling but that's about par for the course. The good news is my first surgery is tomorrow on March 4th. I thought the day would never get here. I know I am one of the lucky ones that has not had a stroke before my surgery. Thank you for your support...I'll let ya'll (i'm from Texas) know how it goes!  Laura   Wink

Hi Laura,

Sorry to hear about your pre-surgery visit to the hospital, but glad that everything's good now.  We'll be thinking of you and saying prayers for a successful surgery tomorrow, followed by a quick recovery.  Please give us an update when you're up to it, o.k.?

Big hugs,
Jill

Laura,

I am sure everything will be great.  Maybe you  can have someone update your progress.  We were at Mayo Clinic and would run up to the library to send an email update to friends and relative with each doctors update.  Will keep you in my prayers

Hi Guys! It's me!!! ;Grin The surgery went great. I'm now the proud owner of 20 stitches and staples on the right side of my head. Dr. Rose at Methodist Hospital is a genius. He did both procedures...He calls it the belt and the suspenders on my right side. I was in the hospital 6 days and am recuperating at home now. He will do the left side in about 8 weeks. Thank you for all of your prayers.                    Laura

great news, Laura !!!!  Such a great feeling to get one surgery done...and the second one just around the corner.  I was more nervous for Cara's second one than first...but she did very well the second time around....and all the time after the surgeries just fly by so fast !!!!...hard to believe Cara actually had brain surgeries...people are still awed when they find out what Cara went through...had no clue it was happening...but did happen. Smiley  Will keep you in my prayers continuously like I do for all involved on MM.com.
Hugs,  CarasMOM

Thanks for the update Laura - that's wonderful news!  Hope you can just take it easy the next few weeks as you recover and gear up for the next surgery.  Before you know it, you'll be the proud owner of yet another set of staples!

Way to go, we'll continue with the prayers . . . keep us posted, o.k.?

Hugs from California,
Jill

You are in our prayers.  My daughter had both sides of her head done by Dr. Michael Scott in Boston.  Our daughter is just fine at this time.  She is very beautiful and a toughie.
God bless.
  You are in my prayers.
