Coming home!
Mar 28th, 2005 at 12:44pm

Just wanted to give everyone an update.  My husband is coming home soon, doctors say in about 3-4 weeks.  Everything is going great, still no speech though.  He is trying to say stuff, but sometimes it still comes out garbled, so we are spelling things out.  He is able to get some stuff out, a little garbed, but he is trying.  The other day he said "whatever", and it came out clear as day.  Small improvements.  When he comes home, little modification needs to be made, just a sit down shower chair.  He still has his good humor and good attitude, it makes all the difference.  Good thoughts go out to everyone!!!!

This is great news!  It's good that he is coming home.  Sounds like the speech can get better if everyone just works with him.  Don't feel bad about the small modifications at home.  They had to be made for me as well and I have a sit down shower chair.....I had to get one too and I love it!  LOL  I'm so lazy!

I'm so happy for both of you!  Let your husband know we are all pulling for him and sounds like he will make tremendous progress with that positive attitude!!  I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

AWESOME news!  I know it's been a long haul for you guys.  Progress may seem painfully slow, but you'll both feel better having him home.  Getting that kind of news is sure a great way to start the week!  Hey, maybe you can find a shower seat for two (hee-hee!).  Thanks for sharing with us, and you'll remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Hugs from California,
Jill

OUTSTANDING,

That's GREAT!! It takes a while for everything to come back. It takes patients. I am so glad he has a good attitude about it, that will make things alot easier on all of you. Just have patients and keep working at it and everything will be fine. Congrats on the homecoming!!!
