Kevin,

I am so thrilled that it's FINALLY coming together for you!  Smiley  I know it's been a long and frustrating road for you.

Having surgery myself this coming Wednesday (13th) and while, unfortunately, Stanford didn't work out for me (the whole Medicaid/Medicare thing), I am glad that someone made it through all the red tape and bureaucracy.  Hopefully, when both of us have recovered from our surgeries and feel better, we can really work on changing the way Medicaid and Medicare handle MoyaMoya.

I'll be thinking and praying for you Kevin! Smiley

Hi Kevin,

That's wonderful that you'll be heading west in May!  You'll be in such incredibly good hands with Dr. Steinberg and the Stanford staff!

We live in San Jose, just about 30 minutes from Stanford.  I don't know who you're coming out with, but we would love to be of support to you while you're here.  You may have read it on this site, but my daughter Tara (18 ) had her surgeries with Dr. Steinberg last June.  We are very familiar with the surgery process, and have become passionate about helping people not feel like they are going through surgery alone.  It's a heck of a way to make new friends, but we are loving meeting people who find their way to Stanford.

Anyway, I hope you're doing well, and will look forward to talking with you!

Hugs from California,
Jill

Kevin,

As you know, I too will be in Stanford while you are out for the first part of the week.  My brother and I plan on coming to the hospital on Wednesday morning for your first surgery.  Let us know if we can do anything else for you.

Kevin,
You'll be in great hands.  We are going back the same time for a follow-up with our son Mark.  We do you live.  We are from Upstate New York.  Hopefully we'll get a chance to meet.  If we can answer any questions please don't hesitate to ask.  There is a lot of support here and you will get all the support you need.
