MM & Alcohol
Apr 8th, 2005 at 1:54pm

I am going on a bar crawl with my friends tomorrow.  I'm curious to know how alcohol could affect me if I drink too much?  I plan to have lots of water with me and drink that along with my alcoholic drink.  I want to make sure that I don't do anything I shouldn't do.  Any feedback for me?

Smiley     My doctors have all told me that Moderate Roll Eyes  drinking is fine with the moyamoya but to be careful and aware of mixing alcohol with certain medications.  Your Pharmacist can best answer those questions.
Smiley SmileyAnyway have a good time doing whatever   Smileybar crawling is.
     Take care,  Tom G.

Sounds like you have a plan, as long as you know the alcohol and your meds are ok together.
I have been trying to figure out how alcohol and MM work together and all I can see is the dehydration factor, so the water should help with that.

Have fun Bar Crawling, I always called it Bar Hopping.

Smiley I made it through all 12 bars yesterday at the bar crawl.  I think I had something at every other bar and water at all the bars.  LOL!  We started at 1:00 p.m. and went until 8:30 p.m.  At that point we were all done!  I felt pretty good that I was able to hang until the final bar and that everyone else was tired at that point too.  No problems either.  Smiley

Way Cool, sounds like you did it the right way, still had fun but used your brain to keep the fun longer. Good Job!

Michelle,
Thanks for being our guinnea pig!  Happy to hear you survived it except for a hangover?  Or maybe all the inbetween water helped prevent that?  I've been very wary about my MM and alcohol, but am finally off all of my meds except for the usual daily aspirin and will celebrate one year from my 1st surgery in mid May ;Grin

So I say, "CHEERS!"
