My daughter, Daphne, has Moyamoya

Wow.... that is pretty incredible. My daughter was dx with moyamoya, and I have been thinking about whether or not her father and I should have MR angiograms. Migrains and circulation problems run in my family on my mom's side. My Dad has narcolepsy, which isn't moyamoya-related, but it's wierd because it's a pretty rare neurological disorder (my dad, by the way, was a circuit court judge, so it didn't exactly slow him down, although he gets quite a ribbing from his friends for his episodes of suddenly falling asleep - including in the court room -- LOL). My husband also, in a previous marriage, had a daughter who passed away in infancy due to complications from prematurity (broncho-pulminary displasia).
I guess this diagnosis makes you just wonder about things. One observation about your mom's case, is that I don't think Moyamoya was even known about until the 60's (and it still isn't widely known about). If you did have a family history, how would you ever even know it?
