A gathering around Stanford
Apr 27th, 2005 at 11:23am

Hi everyone,

Although I am not sure if somebody has already posted this event, I wanted to let you all know just in case.  I am sure that many of you have received a similar mail.  Recently I have received an invitation from a Stanford hospital staff as follows:

It is so nice to be emailing you for a social reason rather than a clinical one.  I wanted to let you know about an event we are coordinating on behalf of the moya moya patients who have been treated at Stanford.  This is an impromptu event that we have made arrangements for just this day.  It came to our attention that several moya moya patients will be in the Stanford area this weekend for upcoming testing and clinical evaluation.  We thought it would be great to have a reunion with patients who live in the local area as well.  Many of these patients have “met” each other on the moyamoya.com website but are thrilled to meet each other in person.  We did not want Kotaro or your family to be left out, so if you don’t already have plans, please feel free to join us this Sunday, May 1st, from 2-4 pm at McArthur Park in Palo Alto.  It is next to the University train station depot.  The University will provide snacks and drinks.  We would love to see you there.  This will be a very informal gathering, so please feel free to stop by.

Anybody on this site must be welcome.  FYI.

Thanks for posting this note.  I've spoken to Teresa and yes, everyone from the site is welcome.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make this one but I will coordinate with the folks at Stanford to have more of these whenever the situation permits...

SOMEBODY BETTER TAKE PICTURES FOR ME!

Hey DJ,
I wish you were able to make it.  You got many of us here.  Mark is scheduled for the week for tests.  We can't wait to get there and meet some of the other families.  We get up at 3am and are flying for about 10 hours tomorrow.  Any way we can coax you???  I thought you had some clout.  Why not just grab an F-15 and zip out or a stealth and sneak out LOL.
Hope to speak with you while we are there.  We are staying from Sat to Sat.  Call us 315-952-7514.  I'll get plenty of pics as I am sure many will.

Thanks for everything you have done,

Hell DJ....if you just say the word, I'll fly over on the Northrop Grumman Corporate Jet and get you....or borrow one of our Global Hawk's and quietly sneak in and get you.   LOL   Wink
